Immortal Combat: The Code 2019 Movie – Storyline :
IN OUR future, one simple breath could mean life or death. As we search for a solution, pollution engulfs our world. If we don’t find an answer fast, all living things shall perish. We are the Five Elements, we strive to protect humanity… Years ago, many warriors came to us seeking change, joined our way of life. Right after, A Code was discovered that could save the world and was injected into one of us. We even lost one of our clan’s mate. Immortal Combat: The Code Full Movie Review:
Regardless, I sat down to watch the 2019 movie “Wu Xia 2: The Code” (aka “Immortal Combat: The Code”) and I was expecting it to be a martial arts movie. Well, it was – sort of. While there was martial arts and fighting in the movie, it was so amateurishly choreographed, scripted and executed that it was such an eyesore and cringeworthy to watch on the screen. In fact, it felt like it was supposed to be a spoof on the “Mortal Kombat” franchise, given the title of the movie; “Immortal Combat”.
The acting in the movie was pretty much as to be expected from a movie such as this. So you shouldn’t be setting yourself up for disappointment by expecting some grand Shakespearian performances. Some of the acting performances were adequate, some dubious. So go figure.
This was by no means an outstanding movie experience, and I gave up on the movie with just 23 minutes remaining. I just simply couldn’t take anymore of the pointless storyline, the equally pointless characters, and the atrocious fighting. It was just rubbish.
