Tom and Jerry: The Magic Ring 2001 Movie – Storyline :

Tom is left in charge of a priceless magical ring by a young wizard. When Jerry accidently gets the ring stuck on his head, he runs out into the city as Tom is close behind him in pursuit. Along the way, they reunite with old characters, such as Nibbles the gray mouse with the diaper, and Jerry’s cousin the strong mouse in the long yellow and black striped shirt. Tom and Jerry keep trying to get the ring off but it’s no use. How will they ever get it off?

Tom and Jerry: The Magic Ring Full Movie Review:

Tom and Jerry is one of my all time favourite cartoons, and for a movie, after the disappointing Tom and Jerry: The Movie, this was a pretty decent kids movie. Yes, it is too short, and the story is predictable, but it is compensated by the colourful animation, likable characters, and a remarkably good voice cast, such as Diagnosis Murder’s Charlie Sclatter, and voice veteran Jim Cummings. And Jerry I’ve always found really cute. Also, while adults may find it a bit too predictable and repetitive, and that is a big may, children will love it, and as a 17 year old female, I found it easy to like, and pretty funny. 7/10 Bethany Cox

Even after all these years it still holds up well. After their usual schtick, Jerry gets a ring stuck on him forcing Tom to try and get it off of him before his owner returns. What should be an interesting task proved to be a tough and strange ordeal. Dogs, gangster mice, and stray cats want a piece of the duo. All for the ring. Will they be able to work together and get it off in time, or will they end up fighting each other?

The animation’s great, the slapstick’s funny, and the story’s decent. There’re a few heartfelt moments between the duo and it does slow down to allow the viewer to catch their breath as well enjoy the scenes where they’re not fighting each other. If you like Tom and Jerry, check this movie out. This’s a movie kids and adult will surely enjoy.
